Greetings!
Looks like I get to be the first to introduce myself.
I'm in my 50's and live in Wisconsin. I share my home with the requisite cat and lead what many would probably consider a very boring life. My books and my garden take up much of my free time. I try my hand at some crafts but am not terribly skilled at any of them. I used to do a lot of quilting but lately am more interested in making things with beads, especially jewelry and decorative accents. Keeps me out of trouble. ![]() I do read other things but keep coming back to cozy mysteries. I am on a very limited budget so I pick them up at garage sales or thrift shops when I find them very cheap. The library never seems to work as well for me because I feel like I'm on a time restriction that way and also because what looks good while I'm at the library doesn't always fit the bill by the time I get home. I hope some good discussions develop here. |

RE: Greetings!
Welcome MarthaM!
![]() Do your hobbies overlap in to your mystery reading? I'm sure I saw a quilting series of mysteries once, and I believe even a series based around beading crafts. I am fascinated by church architecture, the history of the English church and the City of London so I try to read mysteries that feature one or more of those aspects. I hear you about the tight budget, me too. Have you tried library book sales? Sometimes you can pick up a bag of books for a few dollars ![]() Once again, welcome to the forum
